The Chateau is only 8 minutes drive from two market towns, Blangy sur Bresle and Londinieres, and only half an hour from both Abbeville and Dieppe and 45 minutes to Amiens where you can get a fast train to Paris which takes about 1 hour 15 minutes.
The beach is only a 15 minute drive away, the forest with its walks is two minutes drive away and the village itself has a tradtional French bar as well as a grocers shop and bakery.
The property is not far from the landing beaches as well as many theme parks, museums and outdoor activites for children. There are a large number of restaurants within 20 minutes drive and the proximity to both Calais (1.5 hours drive) and Dieppe (30 mins drive) mean that it is always a very popular destination for British holidaymakers as well as French, Dutch, Belgian and Americans.
The chateau is currently run as a holiday rental producing a very good income with the two wings of the house and the gatehouse. Separating the two wings is the owners appartment and below are the cellars used for storage and maintenance.

The Owners Apartment has its own private entrance at the back of the property and is accessed by a spiral staircase leading up to the first floor.
It has a two large windows overlooking the gardens and a large open plan living area complete with kitchen area, shower room and bedroom along with plenty of storage.
Also, ready for conversion is a large barn with a three storey height which could, subject to planning permission, make two or three further cottages. Currently the street level of the barn is used as a handy garage.
There are approximately 5 acres of grounds with the property. At the front are formal manicured gardens with pretty rockeries and flower beds, at the rear of the property is another formal lawned area with the heated pool. The River Yères runs around this area which is fenced off for safety and small gates lead to bridges across the river to a feature riverside walk.
Across the bridges you will find a swing garden, an island, reached by another bridge which is totally surrounded by the running river, an orchard, a duck pond and a large pasture area with its own church ruin which is also home to two ponies and donkey.
Viewing is by appointment only and with the agent.
