Domaine de l'Amiral is, with an area of 1750m2, of which 675m2 living space, a large and impressive domain.
Sometime in the 19th century it was used as a silkworm nursery. The logbook from the 1837 testifies to the various activities that have taken place in this house over the centuries.
Around 1900 the park of 4600 m2 was laid out with 25 cedars. Today, these centenary cedars are up to 40 meters high. In addition to these beautiful old trees, the park has a large bamboo forest of about 200 m2, a large vegetable garden, a fountain and a spacious terrace.
At the same time as the park, the house was also renovated into a stately manor farm.
Upon entering, an impressive orangery with a 10 meter high ceiling and natural stone pillars resting on large cross vaults awaits you. In this room, your eye is immediately drawn to the cabinet of curiosities that continues to amaze.
The orangery is partly built into the rock, so it stays nice and cool here even in summer.
The house with its characteristic elements and charming decor continues to surprise.
A stairwell with a lazy natural stone landing, seven fireplaces, three spacious bathrooms with walk-in showers, cast iron baths and marble sinks. At the heart of the house is the Grand Salon, a homely and charming space for festive dinners with ornate ornaments, wood paneling and a classic wooden parquet floor.
The house is equipped with contemporary elements such as a home cinema and a sheltered roof terrace on the south.
Through the high black steel facade with French doors of the roof terrace you enter a modern private apartment.
Furthermore, the house is equipped with a semi-professional kitchen, four large vaulted cellars, a well and a wine press.
There is good mobile coverage in and around the house. The house also has a modern fiber optic connection and therefore has a fast and stable WiFi network.
