This large stone village house, 350m2, is in a small village, without shops, but just a stone's throw or short cycle ride (2 miles) from the pretty village of Goudargues, famously known as the "Venice of the Gard region".
Here there are lots of small shops, a lively weekly market, and lots of interesting restaurants and cafés. For more serious shopping there is the town of Bagnols-sur-Cèze, 10 miles away, with large supermarkets, a hospital, and very large weekly market. The village is in the north of the Gard region, in the Cèze valley, not far from the Cèze gorges, and just south of the Ardèche gorges.
This is a big tourist region, with caves to visit, medieval villages, roman towns and ruins, and wine tasting with the famous Rhone Valley wines, and delicious local specialities to taste.
This old stone house has been renovated to high standard, double glazed throughout, very modern, and using natural materials. Currently the heating is electric, as the gites are not rented out over the winter.
The house is set at the edge of the village, in pretty peaceful grounds, which are not overlooked. It has a lovely pool area, where you can lie back and take in the beautiful views.
Each gite has been set up so that it has its own private terrace..the four gites share the pool.
Gite 1 Gigondas (sleeps 6-8)
This gite is like a country cottage. Its main doors all open out onto a small courtyard, surrounded by flowering bushes. It has terracotta flooring. The rooms are:
Gite 2 Cotes Roties (sleeps 2)
Gite 3 Chateauneuf (sleeps 2)
Gite 4 Lirac (sleeps 6)
This again is rather like a small separate house, with its own courtyard garden and terrace.
