The house was used until 1792 by the late Bishop Charles de la Cropte de Chanterac. He was the 35th Bishop of Alet, the house of Love, Peace and Culture.
In the 19th Century the house was connected with the Cubat, son Pierre was the main chef of the last 3 Tsars of Russia, Alexandra II, Alexandra III, Nicholas II.
The Cave dates back even further to the late 15th early 16th Century.
