Finca al-manzil has been an official Casa Rural since 2005, it is a thriving business or a comfortable private accommodation with three separate houses.

The holiday accommodation business has escalated every year with 2018 the most successful summer yet.  The finca is particularly popular with nature lovers, walkers and most of all, bird watchers who return year after year.

The grounds of the finca cover 18 hectares.

There are 3 houses on the estate:

The barn - a romantic house  with gorgeous views set into its own grounds of 1 hectare with separate private entrance.

The swimming pool is built into a natural curve on the mountains side with great views of wonderful natural surroundings

The whole estate runs on  solar power with a big photo-voltaic installation, it has a tracker system following the sun all day.

The finca's  eco credentials are excellent with its own solar power, spring water from a bore hole and sustainable forestry for the woods.


The cortijo covers an area of 300m2. The building has been carefully designed to suit the climate and the environment with many elements of traditional design. It is positioned  to take advantage of morning and evening sun, plenty of shade and on an elevated position with stunning views of the mountain and the surrounding countryside. There are no other houses nearby.

There are 3 double bedroooms with en-suite bathrooms; 2 lead of the porch and 1 upstairs has a huge roof terrace with splendid views of the mountain.

 All the rooms are airy with high ceilings, the sitting room has a double height ceiling, it measures 70m2 with wood burning stove, 2 french windows to terrace with great uninterrupted views of the mountain and the woods of the finca.

The kitchen leads off the dining room, it is well designed for busy cooks with plenty of light. Dining room has french windows to terrace for outside dining and the terrace outside the sitting room.

Utility room has extra loo, sink and washing machine, also a seperate larder. An office is just off the entrance hall which leads to the covered porch. Under the house is a useful storage room.

All the rooms have fly screens and wooden roller blinds as well as the inside shutters.

All the woodwork was made locally of seasoned chestnut wood, the front door is traditional design of a large door within a door and also a small shutter door, postigo, for seeing who's there.

There is a telephone and WIFI connection.

The grounds around the cortijo have been left natural with some beautiful old holm oak trees and cork oaks.

Honeysuckle and jasmine thrive, there is a mature lemon tree and on the terraces and porch many pots with flowering plants and herbs.

The cortijo entrance gate is completely seperate from the Barn entrance, the two houses are completely independent, can not be seen one from the other and yet close enough to be used together for bigger groups.


The barn is in its own grounds of 1 hectare. It has its own entrance and complete privacy.

Really spacious with upstairs bedroom of 24m2.
